Anderson Schoenrock and Mike Mothner founded ScanDigital in early 2007. The two, long time friends who met while studying at Dartmouth College, were involved in a number of business opportunities individually prior to starting ScanDigital together.

Our Story
It all began during the holidays in 2006. One of our Founders, Mike Mothner, was opening gifts with his family. Mike’s mother had received a digital camera and was excited to put her pictures on her computer. At dinner she looked at Mike and asked: “How can I put the photos in the garage on my computer?” Mike looked back and said, “I don’t know.” In that moment the wheels began turning and Mike realized that if his mother had this question there were likely thousands of others out there with the same question.
A few days later at a New Years Eve party in San Diego, Mike approached long time friend and business partner, Anderson Schoenrock. He shared the story with Anderson and immediately the two (both serial entrepreneurs) began discussing the potential to create a service to help people like Mike’s mother rescue their images from the oblivion of a garage, attic or shoebox.
There on a balcony at the Torrey Pines Hilton, ScanDigital was born. Within three months Anderson and Mike had developed a business plan and hired programmers to build the site and infrastructure to launch this new and exciting service. About six months after the intial discussion, ScanDigital’s unique and ground breaking photo scanning services were launched to the public.

Our team continues to grow and is a group of highly trained individuals, with a diverse background within a variety of niches in the photography and digital photography field. For our employees working with digital photos is not just a job, its something they love. This passion for photography is apparent in the quality of the service they provide. Our team is comprised with individuals who were trained by world-renowed photographers and taught at the finest universities and institutions in the world.

The Company is headquartered in Los Angeles County, California within the City of El Segundo and operates from a central facility. Operating from one central facility in the United States is a critical part of the ScanDigital’s propreihetary process. The combination of our facility and our people allows us to provide the highest level of customer care and service.

Anderson Schoenrock, President and Co-Founder
Anderson brings a diverse background in business, management and finance to ScanDigital. His unique combination of business experience leaves him well positioned to oversee the growth and innovation at ScanDigital.
Prior to co-founding ScanDigital. Anderson was the Vice President and Co-Founder of Zietsman Realty Partners (“ZRP”). While at ZRP, Anderson directly oversaw more than $600 million in commercial real estate transactions and worked with some of the most respected investment firms in the world. After building a successful platform, ZRP was acquired by Jones Lang La Salle in 2007.
Prior to forming ZRP, Anderson spent more than three years working for Lehman Brothers as an investment banker. While at Lehman, Anderson worked with both public and private companies throughout the world.
Born and raised in Kansas, Anderson departed after high school on an east coast journey with two stops: Hanover, NH where he earned a B.A. in History from Dartmouth College and then onto New York City where he lived and worked for two years. Since 2003, Anderson has resided on the West coast in Santa Monica.
While his bio covers a lot of business, Anderson also enjoys his time outside of the office. You might find him several thousand feet above LA enjoying the private pilots license he earned in 2006. When earthbound, he enjoys playing and watching a number of sports. In particular, he is a die hard University of Kansas basketball fan. He is also particularly gifted at putt-putt having mastered both the clown-face and windmill holes at an early age.

Mike Mothner, Co-Founder
Mike is an accomplished entrepreneur and brings a wealth of business experience to ScanDigital. Prior to Co-Founding ScanDigital, Mike started one of the world’s leading search engine marketing firms, Wpromote, and continues to serve as the CEO of Wpromote.
From its birthplace in a dorm room at Dartmouth College in 2001, Michael has led Wpromote from humble beginnings to be one of the world’s leading search engine marketing firms. In 2007, Wpromote was honored as the #62 fastest growing private company in the country on the annual Inc 500 list,and Michael was featured on the CEOs Under 30 list by Inc Magazine.
An Economics and Computer Science major at Dartmouth College, Michael serves on the Google Advertiser Research Council, is a member of ThinkLA and is a regularly quoted source in the search engine marketing industry.
Between his involvement in the daily operations and strategic planning for ScanDigital and Wpromote, Michael loves a vicious game of foosball, though he is still haunted by memories of being on the receiving end of one of the only shut-outs in Wpromote-Foosball history.
