Guess where I was all last week? In VEGAS! Okay, it’s not exactly how it sounds. I was working. Trust me, it wasn’t a leisurely week in Vegas- it was hard work!
The ScanDigi team and I went out to exhibit at the Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Tradeshow and Convention. Photography enthusiasts from all over the world gather at PMA’s annual event and we definitely didn’t want to miss out.
The trip started Monday morning for the driving crew, responsible for bringing and setting up our booth and other material. Clearly we chose the strongest of our team: tiny Jenny, one of our newer ScanDigital team members, and 
me!
The two of us were really champs that day. We not only drove that day, but had to carry all of our booth’s supplies clear across the convention center floor and set up. You can tell from the picture that we were quite proud of ourselves. Let me tell you, it wasn’t easy! We had the sore muscles, bruises and scrapes to prove it.
By the time we were all set up the following morning and the doors were about to open to all the attendees, Anderson and Matt stroll in, ready to work. Well, they were ready to work after Matt had his coffee, Anderson his Diet Coke, and both enjoyed apple fritters. They conveniently missed all the heavy lifting, lucky ducks!
Our ScanDigi team hit the ground running and spoke to hundreds of people as they walked by. Everyone seemed really interested in learning more about our service. There were certainly a lot of potential customers in attendance, but the real treat is when we meet someone who has already used ScanDigital’s service. It’s always great to hear their feedback face-to-face.
We also met with some amazing members of the press, discussed business opportunities with other companies and spread the word about ScanDigital to the photo-loving crowd. We received really great feedback and anticipate a great response.
May have been hard work, but we definitely squeezed in a little fun as well. One evening after the show, we did a little gambling and went out to dinner. By ‘we’ I really mean Anderson and Matt. Jenny and I couldn’t drag them away from the Black Jack tables! I did finally get them to play Roulette with me though, which was a lot of fun. Even funnier though, Matt had a couple female fans at the table and came away with nicknames that I won’t let him live down.
Our last night there, we all decided to go out and celebrate our hard work. After all, standing on your feet 9+ hours a day isn’t easy. We went out to a delicious dinner at Craftsteak, which I could write a whole separate blog post about, but will spare you. I’ll just say Just one word – YUM. I’m such a foodie! Even Jenny, a self-proclaimed picky eater who only sticks to chicken, enjoyed it. Check us all out at the restaurant here!
Melissa, one of ScanDigital’s first employees, was actually in Vegas that same weekend and met us at Studio 54. So much fun!
All in all, it was a great trip. Who knew a week in Vegas could actually be ‘productive?’

PMA is so tiring, especially when you have to coordinate, set-up, man the booth and tear down! It was nice to meet you guys (didn’t realize that we were neighbors until the last day) and I’m glad you found some time to have fun in Vegas. Yay for promoting the video category at PMA!
The trip sounds fantastic!!! Glad Vegas was productive and great to have met an actual customer and get their feedback…nothing but good things I’m sure. Good job ScanDigital Team for continuing to get your name and service out to the public and have such a nice looking booth in the process!!!
The trip sounds like a real success! The booth looks great, and I am sure that was hard work to set up…but worth the efforts! I am glad to hear there was some fun time because come one, it is VEGAS! But nothing better than the saying “Work hard, play harder.” Keep it up ScanDigital.
