There is a lot of "anxiety" in shipping one's precious photos off for scanning. So the fact that you (1) acknowledge receipt by email, and then (2) later tell me when processing has begun, and then later (3) tell me when processing is completed and you're ready to ship... all these steps completely eliminate any angst. Secondly, the actual work itself... I think your people are not only helpful and conscientious, but they are also smart! As an example, when I included several Polaroid's for scanning (the kind with a large white border at the bottom... you cropped out that border on all the shots except one that had a hand-written date on it... and you included that precious date detail in the scan. Smart. I didn't think of it but I really appreciated it when I discovered you had. Even the "note" in the box with the name of the person processing my order made me feel good about what a careful company you must be. I'm well into "middle aged" years, so I've lived long enough to witness the decline in many service industries... and I'm sympathetic that it is difficult to "afford" to provide high-touch service for other than expensive products and services (and you are most reasonably priced). So I don't know how you do it, but I'm very appreciative. If you're like most companies, someone inside your business will someday "discover" a way to trim costs over time, and therefore also reduce the quality of your customers' service experience. But you've already convinced me - you are not like most companies. Thank you Scan Digital!! Keep it up. Both times I have been absolutely amazed at the depth of personal service your employees provide. I get a UPS shipping label�prepaid! As soon as I complete the order online. I get an email�with an employee's name... when the package is received. I get a personalized email that says, "We are now working on your films." And I get another email when the package is shipped. I even got several special emails because I had managed to get two invoices attached to one shipment! ScanDigital staff asked questions, straightened it all out, and kept me informed and soothed while they did that! All this for a price a recently-retired middle school principal can afford to pay! All of that is great, but not as great as watching my young adult children tear-up at seeing movies of the grandfathers who died before they were born, the uncles they barely remember, and the grandmothers they remember well and loved. Oh, they laugh pretty hard at teenage pictures of their dad and me, but it is loving laughter. They even get to see it all again with appropriate music! Could we ask for anything more?
