If you discovered long-forgotten negatives among family memorabilia, you’re lucky if they’re in good condition. Too often, improper storage can cause damage to black and white negatives in the form of dirt and scratches. Color film is far more sensitive and fading or oversaturated colors are common issues. At ScanDigital, our professional negative scanners give us the capability to digitize negatives in the most popular 35mm format, as well as a wide variety of other sizes that we consider special media:

  • 110 format, 120 medium format, 126mm, 127mm, 2.25" x. 2.25", large negatives (e.g. 4" x 5"), and transparencies (e.g. 8" x 10")

Slides to Digital Service

Once upon a time, people enjoyed taking slide films and showing them in carousels on slide projectors. Although 35mm slide film was introduced in the early 1930s, it wasn’t until the 1960s that this format grew in popularity. Slides are housed in a cardboard or plastic mount, but the color is extremely unstable, and the surface can easily get scratched or stained. To preserve these memories, your best option is to scan slides to digital. At ScanDigital, we accept slides in those nifty carousels from yesteryear and convert slides to digital in the following formats:

  • 35mm, 110 format, 126mm, 127mm, 2.25", stereo slides

When you choose ScanDigital to scan negatives to digital or our slide scanning service, we use sophisticated equipment to remove dust and minor scratches. We also manually color correct and remove minor blemishes to optimize the quality of your images.
